2. When writing course descriptions, it is best to:

Put the information about cost, location and time in the first line so that people know what to expect.

Limit logistic information to one line.

Write out all the logistic information so that it is clear to readers.

Use decimal points and zeros in the pricing to make it more emphatic.

3. Good course descriptions should always start with

A consistent sentence such as “In this course. . .”

The name of the instructor and the price of the course

Varied sentences with impressive facts, questions or humor

The course date and time

4. The first two pages of your brochure

Should have a lengthy welcome from the director so that people can learn more about the history of your program.

Include registration information and details because it will be very easy to find.

List every class alphabetically.

Have a short welcome focusing on benefits and a table of contents that includes the most popular courses first.

5. The back cover of your brochure

Is rarely seen so you do not need to spend a lot of time on designing it.

Is often what people see first, so you should make sure it is well-branded and does some of the same work as the front cover

Should never include photographs of your instructors or participants

Should use a different color scheme to make it stand out from the front cover
