What you will be doing:
The Communications and Engagement Director supports existing town outreach and engagement activities and initiates, plans and coordinates various projects and programs that promote positive relationships, and support and integrate community involvement. Serves as the town’s media liaison by fostering positive relationships with members of the news media, overseeing media inquiries and news conferences. Establishes short and long-range priorities, goals, and objectives for public information, marketing, media, and communication programs. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform internal and external communications through various channels. This employee also performs public relations work necessary to cultivate a favorable public image for the town by working closely with stakeholders and with the Board of Trustees in communicating their vision and goals of the town. Responsibilities include directing all aspects of Town’s communication and marketing interests and oversight of marketing/communication staff team.
