Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Continuing Education (CE) Director at the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (RMCOEH) is administratively housed at Weber State University (WSU), while physically housed primarily at the RMCOEH headquarters facilities in Salt Lake City, which are jointly operated by a groundbreaking partnership between WSU and the University of Utah (UU). The incumbent directs one of the USA’s largest Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) CE programs. The CE Director directs both the RMCOEH CE program and the Mountain West OSHA Education Center. This includes providing leadership and directing the development and implementation of two large conferences and 40 different courses that are offered multiple times throughout the year. This typically results in ~275 non-matriculated OEHS training and conference programs offered to over 2,500 students annually. These programs include a diverse inventory of open-market, contract, and distance-based non-credit training programs including a number of competency-based certification courses.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five years related experience

• Master degree
• A demonstrated ability to initiate, develop, direct and promote new training and conference programs
• Development and maintenance of numerous, diverse internal and external personnel and professionals managerial, teamwork and communications skills
• A working knowledge of financial management, human resources and marketing
• Excellent managerial, teamwork and communications skills

The annual salary for this position starts at $65,000 and may go up from there depending on candidate qualifications and experience.
