New Chair Extends Dashboard
Jill Korsok, Director of Orange Community Education in Pepper Pike, Ohio, became the new Chair of the LERN Board of Directors this spring.

Ms. Korsok began her term by extending the new LERN Dashboard to Recreation Departments. She also has been key in developing other LERN initiatives, including creating Interest Groups for LERN members in the areas of Summer Camps, Marketing, Programming, Operations and Leadership.

She led the effort to bring back monthly how-to practical newsletters in print, which were suspended during the pandemic when everyone worked from home.

2025 In-Person Conferences
The in-person leadership and programming conferences will be held in March 2025 on San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk.

The conference final agendas will be announced in September.
Two LERN conferences will take place at the same time in the same hotel:
–Continuing Education Leadership Conference. It is for continuing educators in universities and community colleges.
–Recreation & Community Education Programming Conference. It is for staff in Recreation Departments; as well as community educators in Public Schools and other community class providers.

We are currently finalizing the hotel and dates and recruiting presenters and panelists. If you would like to present, please email Dr. Travette Webster at webster@lern.org  Subject line: San Antonio
