Only half of LERN member programs have their website mobile optimized, eMarketing expert Suzanne Kart told lifelong learning executives meeting this spring in Tucson.
Over the next year or so, a high priority for your lifelong learning program should be to make your website mobile friendly.
Kart says that Google has now changed its search function to highlight mobile friendly sites, as so many people now use mobile devices to search the web. In fact, according to analysts at Morgan Stanley, more people will access the internet from a mobile device than a laptop or desktop computer in 2015.
Speaking of going to your website, Kart reports that more people go to sites with blogs. Sites with blogs have 55 percent more traffic than other sites, and they also get higher search rankings.
