The 3 Hottest Marketing Tips of the Year

Here’s the 3 hottest marketing tips of the year, as voted on by your colleagues at the big LERN Annual Conference.

The ‘finalists’ included the 11 best marketing tips of the year, from which your colleagues voted on their favorites.

#1 Create reels for social media.
Instagram reels are 15-30 second videos that can be used in promoting your activities. They have been found effective for other industries, and are now starting to be adopted by lifelong learning programs and continuing education.

#2 List Email Sign Up with Interest Areas.
On your website, instead of just having people sign up for email notices, give them choices for which areas they are interested in. People can sign up for one, some or all of your Interest Areas. They will then get emails about programs in which they have expressed interest, increasing the effectiveness of your email promotions.

#3 Have Four Rotating Banners for Home Pages.
After reviewing over 200 of your websites, LERN has a new recommendation. Instead of a static banner image for your home or landing page, have four rotating banners. The images should be about a specific program, category or offering with a link directly to the program being featured.

All 11 of the hottest marketing tips of the year are being made available to organizations that attended this year’s conference.
