AI is the hottest topic of the year for class programs. You are exploring ways to use AI in your operations. And you are offering AI classes for the public and for business.
AI for the field of lifelong learning programming and continuing education is being led by LERN. LERN leaders and staff are working on two levels with AI:
1.Delivering information to programs on successful ways you can use AI;
2.The creation of ‘LERN AI,’ an AI system to provide new services and benefits from LERN.
The (Short) History of AI
– Barely three years old, AI for the field was introduced by Dan Belhassen, the eTools guru, the leading researcher for our field on AI. His annual updates on AI are cited by people as awe inspiring and practical.
-Uses for programs began with writing or rewriting course descriptions. Then streamlining the creation of content and visuals for brochures and websites. And greater research and information gathering beyond previous boundaries.
-AI classes. Beginning or introductory classes have been offered for two years now. More advanced or specific AI classes are only starting to be offered by programs.
The Next Level
The next level for AI is “Marketing with AI.” The first pioneering session for the field of lifelong learning programming and continuing education will be presented by Christina Inge, PhD, who teaches marketing with AI for the Harvard Division of Continuing Education.
She will open up the next level of using AI for marketing and communicating with people for recruitment and retention of participants.
LERN AI
–Pricing Analysis. A pricing service was introduced this spring by LERN. Your brochure can be analyzed using AI and LERN’s professional staff to recommend class prices to increase registrations, income and profitability.
–Course Trends Index. Coming this fall, a Dow-Jones-Like-Index of the top 200 courses will be introduced this fall. Both services are included as part of a package of additional services for Premier and Gold Members of LERN.
LERN Members
Practitioners presenting or being on panels for AI this fall include Christina Inge, Boston, MA; Katie Thomson, Palatine, IL; Fayth Ross, Reno, NV; Leslie Brock, Carbondale, IL; and Jenny Bodurka, Minnetonka, MN. Professionals working with LERN on AI include Melissa Baker, Laguna Beach, CA; Dan Belhassen, Winnipeg, MB, Canada; and Marcus Lander, Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Moving Forward
You tell us. You will tell us what you are doing with AI. And you will be asking LERN to create the next new service for your program using ‘LERN AI.’ One thing is certain: your ‘LERN AI’ will be better than the other AI’s out there.
