Upgrade your ‘Contact Us’ web page to encourage more new and potential participants to engage with you. Every program has, or should have, a ‘Contact Us’ web page on its website.
Here’s Why
People who contact you are more likely to register than other non-customers. They are as likely to register as your best customers, your past participants.
Market research has proven that people who take the first step towards action are more likely to buy than others. Contacting you is that first step.
Your staff time is well spent responding to questions and inquiries. The ROI on your frontline staff time is big. It’s not just income from a single registration that you get, but the LifeTime Value of that customer, since we know customers overwhelmingly come back for more classes.
Follow up. The standard for our field is 2-3 follow up emails or other contacts, such as sending the person a brochure First Class in the mail. Again, that follow up pays off.
You get their email. It’s a golden opportunity to add the person to your email list and snail mail brochure list.
They tell others. Satisfied people tell others. They become free promoters of your program.
It’s our brand. Personal attention and engagement is what we do in our field. Your classes and teachers are your core service, and that’s all human interaction. If your initial contact with a prospective learner is impersonal, that reflects negatively on your classes and teachers. And when your initial contact with a prospective learner is welcoming, inviting, responsive and friendly, you send the message that your classes and teachers will be a good experience as well.
